NorCal Cannabis Cup

The 2019 NorCal Cannabis Cup took place June 1st and 2nd. Below is content in the run up to the Cup:

High Times added the 2019 NorCal Cannabis Cup to the schedule on their website on 2/20/19.

High Times is calling the event the "HIGH TIMES CANNABIS CUP NORCAL" (for now anyway) and it is to take place in Northern California in the city of Santa Rosa on June 1-2, 2019.

But as with any event High Times announces, one must proceed with caution as to whether the event will actually take place.

This is due to the fact that High Times has canceled many events after having announced them.

If this HIGH TIMES CANNABIS CUP NORCAL event does indeed take place in 2019, it is slated (for now) to happen at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, which is approximately 50 miles north of San Francisco..

According to High Times, last year's event was the first time in Santa Rosa history - and the second time in US history - that a state-agency sanctioned a cannabis consumption and sales event.

In 2017, The Nor-Cal Cannabis Cup returned for the eighth year in a row, making it the longest running U.S. Cannabis Cup.

2017 was different. With California legalizing cannabis in November 2016, it was the first recreational Nor-Cal Cup after having hosted medical Cups the previous seven years.

The 2017 Nor-Cal Cannabis Cup was slated to offer a number of features according to High Times, including a topical massage spa, a vape lounge, an edibles village, Legalization Celebration Pavilion, cannabis career fair, a one-of-a-kind live grow room/garden, and more.

The edibles village featured a "Taste of Cannabis Chef Competition", where top cannabis chefs will create cannabis dishes in a fast paced cooking competition.

The Legalization Celebration Pavilion had a rally stage for activists, including non-profit and government reps and panels.to discuss veterans issues and legal issues.

A medical research seminar covered the latest studies about the healing properties of cannabis, and a vape pen clinic explored new technology.

There was also quite a bit of material on the topic of concentrates. Musical concerts were included in the festivities as well.
