STAY TUNED FOR INFO ON 2019! The Seville Exhibition and Congress Center, FIBES, hosted a recent edition of Expocanamo (2017 May 19-21). With more than 7,000 square meters of exhibition space and more than 2,000 square meters of outdoor area, it was the ideal space for this exhibition.
Once again the fair had several sections to show the public the benefits of industrial hemp and its derivatives in textiles, food and cosmetics. National and international companies showed their products and explained the advantages of using hemp in their production. There was a small garden with live hemp plants. And as before, the cannabis museum of Callosa del Segura featured machinery used for the manufacture of hemp fibers in the media age.
Fashion once again played a very important role in the hands of AMSA, the Andalusian Sustainable Fashion Association. AMSA is chaired by attorney and sustainable fashion expert Silvia Munoz Valera, who again collaborated with Expocanamo to raise public awareness of the advantages of sustainable fashion, as well as enhance and stimulate its creation, production, sale and use.
The various cannabis associations in the autonomous community of Andalusia and the rest of Spain were on hand to raise public awareness about the regulation and responsible consumption of the hemp plant. Vendor booths led by grow shops, nurseries and leading companies advised and showed their products for planting and plant care.
There will be plenty of conferences and activities. This year featured special emphasis on hemp and food, therapeutic cannabis and activism. In the outdoor area you could find ample space to relax and enjoy the rhythms of reggae and rap music.
