2017 marked the third iteration of the Ganjamaica Cup which took place in Negril Jamaica.
December 2016 saw the 2nd annual cannabis competition in Jamaica as part of the Rastafari Rootzfest Festival.
It was called the Ganjamaica Cup, and replaced the inaugrial 2015 Cannabis Cup co-hosted by High Times.
However the 2016 edition did not include High Times, and was run locally (although there was American involvement again).
Oaksterdam University of Oakland California played a key role in the staging of the Cup, according to the local organizers.
The 2016 Ganjamaica Cup featured a Ganja Expo and Rastafari Village, over 75 exhibitors and ital food vendors. Ganja seminars, grow workshops, Reggae concerts, yoga and more were all slated for the festivities.
And of course, the best cannabis products competing in the Cup were crowned at the awards ceremony.
