High Times added a new event on their website on September 6, 2019. They're calling it the DETROIT CANNABIS BAZAAR.
It's the only event currently listed on their website.
The DETROIT CANNABIS BAZAAR marks the third High Times event to take place in Michigan in 2019, and the second in Detroit.
Detroit is fast becoming a favorite hosting venue for High Times, who has a history of problems obtaining licensing to put on their events. These problems have led to numerous High Times events being canceled after initial announcement of the event.
Detroit as a hosting venue for cannabis events is particularly attractive since Michigan's recent legalization of recreational cannabis, which allows adults to possess up to 2.5 ounces of the good stuff.
Possession is one thing, but purchasing is another.
The only legal way to currently purchase bud in Michigan is at so-called 'provisioning centers.' These centers require the purchaser to possess a medical marijuana card. Dispensaries are coming early next year apparently.
However purchasing should not be an issue at the 2019 DETROIT CANNABIS BAZAAR in October if earlier events this year by High Times are anything to go by.
