2015 Central Cal Cannabis Cup Canceled
October 6, 2015The first-ever High Times Central California Cannabis Cup - a.k.a. the 'Hallow-weed Medical Cup' - will not take place this Halloween after all.
Permit problems with local authorities the villain.
This issue is nothing new.
Central Cal marks the fourth High Times Cannabis Cup to have been canceled in 2015.
Other cancellations this year include the Seattle Cannabis Cup, the Portland Cannabis Cup and the world famous Amsterdam Cannabis Cup, which ran for 27 consecutive years prior to 2015.
Ironically, as the United States eases recreational cannabis laws, organizing events that include cannabis consumption is increasingly more difficult.
High Times expected 5,000-6,000 attendees for the first-ever Central Cal Cup in Lemoore California. But since the municipal issues put a halt to this year's plans, High Times promises the inaugural event will instead take place sometime in 2016.
