This has to be the best breakfast deal ever.
HEMA cafetaria on Osdorplein had a breakfast meal consisting of a nicely sized croissant, a nicely sized egg sandwich (although it was served cold), a small glass of fresh orange juice and a large coffee of several choices, all for the incredible price of only 2 Euro.
The deal was offerred daily until 10am as of November 2017.
Needless to say this was a popular item, with a long line of patrons witnessed on more than one occasion.
HEMA has been known to have some very attractively priced meals over the years.
ALBERT HEIJN
An Albert Heijn branded pastry snack weighing in at just under a pound can be found at the grocer for under 70 Euro cents.
It is usually on the bottom shelf, where most deals at Albert Heijn can be found.
BURGER KING
Burger King, especially during the week, often has some kind of meal deal.
This is typically a burger with fries and drink type situation for around 3 Euro.
This deal has been seen regularly at the Leidseplein Burger King. Whether all Burger Kings offer this same deal is unconfirmed.
ALBERT CUYP MARKET
Albert Cuyp market has a roasted chicken vendor that sells pieces and whole chickens at decent rates.
If memory serves, it was 2.50 Euro for 3 delicious drumsticks.
LIDL
Lidl is a German discount grocer with several stores in Amsterdam.
Lidl has great prices on many items, including Dutch cheese.
Don't buy the cheese for expensive rates at tourist shops or other stores. Buy at Lidl and save nicely.
