2016 Chalice Festival
The 3rd annual Chalice Festival - also known as Biggest Hash Festival in America - took place at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville California on the weekend of July 8-10, 2016, as enthusiasts have dubbed 7/10 the designated holiday for concentrates.
Chalice Festival is all about cannabis concentrates, but a slew of dispensaries showed up with flowers, hash and edibles as well.
There was also plenty of music and activities to keep attendees busier than a boll weevil.
Hip hop band Wu-Tang Clan was on hand to headline. Also providing some of the sounds were CAKE, Futuristic, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, Migos, Talib Kweli, Madlib, Curren$y, Dizzy Wright and more. Art installations, exhibits like live glass blowing of smoking gear and unlimited free dabs for medical users were also part of the festivities.
Not only the general public enjoyed the various offerings, but uniformed police officers were also seen checking out some of the items on display with curiosity and amusement.
But despite the non-threatening attitude of law enforcement at the event, the Victorville City Council hoped to cancel the Chalice Festival and urged state officials to prevent the event from taking place. City officials were against the idea of an event promoting recreational drug use.
